SPORTS MARKETING INTERNSHIP OUTLINE

Mac-Nutrition is an established consultancy, providing nutritional services to the general population, corporate sector and sporting bodies, teams and individuals. The applicant awarded the sports marketing internship will work closely with the Mac-Nutrition team to further the scope of the business and will get a unique chance to create and implement a full business marketing strategy. Interns must have a desire to work under the Mac-Nutrition brand and to diligently and faithfully act as a promoter of the company’s philosophies.

RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & ACTIVITIES

  • Design and implementation of an integrated marketing strategy
  • To update and maintain the Mac-Nutrition website and presence on external sites, including social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook).
  • Aid in event marketing and management
  • Attendance and active participation in meetings regarding revenue generation
  • Any other duties as may be requested

Sports Marketing InternshipREMUNERATION

  • This is a voluntary position and is unpaid
  • Mac-Nutrition will provide a daily lunch allowance and reasonable travel expenses

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Must have or be currently completing a degree (BSc/BA or equivalent) in Marketing or a related area

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Essential:

  • Creativity and ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Good research and internet skills

Desirable:

  • Previous marketing and events management experience
  • Experience of web updating using a content management system
  • An interest in sports nutrition
  • Knowledge and ownership of Adobe Photoshop and/or desktop publishing
